88/89

88/89 is a hybrid of synths, guitar riffs and sentimentalism. Formed in London, the duo is carving out a space between psych-pop and psychedelic rock, creating a sonic landscape of their own.

A blanket of media and blogs along with streaming platforms took notice of their sound early, making notes including ‘retrospective yet brilliantly fresh’ and ‘a duo creating a timeless sound.’ They scored premieres on Beats Per Minute with debut single “The Man” and strong support from streaming partners Spotify’s New Music Friday UK, Fresh Finds, The Other and Apple Music’s New Music Daily and Shazam’s Best New Music.

Follow up singles “Wide Open” and “Hit Me” received the same attention, added to multiple Spotify and YouTube Music playlists, featured in Hype Magazine, Notion Magazine and many others, picked out by Amazing Radio presenter Jordan Scudder as well as further radio spins at Soho, Hoxton in the UL and spots out of Germany, Brazil and France. The latter was remixed by New Zealand-based DJ La Felix.

Source Music is excited to jump on board as their ANZ Publisher in 2021 and beyond.
